There is a back story (no pun intended), but no attached meaning; it is "art for art's sake".

A girl I vaguely knew had gotten a lower back flower/tribal "piece" in memory of her grandfather. It probably seemed like a good idea at the time.

This sprung a conversation where I said that if I ever got a tattoo, it would be simple, have no meaning and be solid-colored. Seven years later, I got a tattoo.
