This tattoo was custom done using elements that have special meaning to me. The tribal work came off of an ancient Cherokee pottery (for my native american heritage), the crest in the center is a Hawaiian crest in honor of where I grew up (Big Island, Hawaii), and the Kanji is in honor of my Japanese stepdad who raised me. The Kanji stands for courage (emotional courage). I still want to refine the crest and add a bit more to it.
