From norweigan mythologoy, the Valkyrie's were female angels that flew over the battlefields and protected the lives of those that they favoured, and brought death to those they didn't.
I've had as few near misses with death and bad injuries in my life, so thought it would be perfect. I draw the wing myself and had it tattooed to the outside of my right calf.
