I got the Claddagh there in honor of my friend Tim Dooley who died in a car accident on 6/1/08. I had always wanted ink but could never decide what to get, and one day I told Tim that I decided on the Claddagh in the middle of my back (we are both very Irish), and he laughed and pulled up his shirt, he had gotten the same tat in the same spot earlier that day. I got this tattoo after he died in honor of him, his initials are in the crown, mine are on the right, my husbands will be on the left when we marry.
