These are two separate tattoos. The first is a Macedonian sun, which is the oldest symbol of Macedonia. Both of my great grandparents were Macedonian and I remember growing up them teaching me about Macedonia and it's language and culture. I got this in remembrance of them. It was done in Ann Arbor, MI.

Believe I got added about 2 months later by Annette at Electric Lady Land in NOLA. It's very simple elegant script. I got it to remind myself (and others) that you always have to believe in yourself.
