This was my 1st tattoo. i know its not brilliant but i was admittedly young and stupid when i got it. i just wondered if anyone could tell me why its raised from the skin? iv had it done for 5years now and its just never gone flat. i was told it may be because the tattooist went too deep, what do you guys think?
I have a few raised tattoos that were from inexperienced diggers but with my current artist I don't even scab over it just peels like a sunburn a few days after
you may be prone to keloid scarring. its a condition where your skin overheals and you are left with a 3-d scar that is raised. its most common in young people and gingers
artist drilled too deep- they're basically scars. A tattoo is essentially trauma to the skin which is why it scabs afterward.
Personally I think raised is kinda' kewl ^_^
