This koi tattoo is something I wanted for about 5 years now. I got a piece of crap flash fairy in Hollywood, and it always looked like a fish tail. I thought it would make a good cover-up if I had it turned into a koi. Plus, my oldest daughter is a pisces and always wanted me to get a fish of some type.
The artist, Mikey @ Ragin Rhino in Branson, MO, is very into traditional Japanese art and was excited to take it on. He did a wonderful job, I think it's awesome.
