i have done this piece several times myself and you're right it is common, however this is how the customer asked for it to be done as she felt it looked incomplete as the design should be and the customer is always right even when not politically !

gaz iv seen this exac tattoo 4 times now on this site and those little twirls are suposed to be wind, wich means negetive space works much beter to create the ilusion on space and movement, yr work is usually vey good, sorry dude this is not the best
