My artist and I designed this together as a magnum opus in honor of a best friend's death. The Japanese saying is a quote from Shinichi Suzuki, who taught that music was a form of love and peace, translated as "If love is deep, much can be accomplished." The lotus is, like for most people, my Buddhist symbol of reaching peace and understanding the cycle of life. The cherry blossoms are rising to show the continuous cycle as well.
