I got this a few months after 9/11. The bird alone was my first tattoo back in 1990. Micky is the tattoo artist's name.

Nearly 50,000 people, including 3 of the men in this image, died needlessly in this battle for a tiny, practically deserted island of no use to the Allies. This tattoo (aside from its bizarrely huge eagle) basically amounts to glorificaton of war
