Hon, I think it looks great the way it is. Don't worry about what people say on here. So what if it isn't perfect. That makes it original. |

The 1st one is too small vs the 2nd, & isn't written quite right. The strokes on the 2nd are also not quite right. The good news is all this is fixable. You'll lose the fill effect but if you go to a good tattooer who knows kanji you should have no problem |

However, you only have the first 2 syllables: okaa. Luckily, there is another form of "mother" that only uses these 2 characters, which is "ofukuro." It's slighly old fashioned, but that's probably ok. But the characters themselves are slightly off. |

I'm really sorry to tell you this, but there are problems with this tattoo. To begin with, there are several words for "mother" in Japanese. The one I think you meant to choose is "okaasan," the way most people address their mothers in speech. |
