This tattoo is of an 1870's Cavalry Trooper on the Montana Plains. I am a Historical Re-enactor. For the background, I wanted to add the orange and purple colors because I like sunsets, and if you'll notice the clouds gathering at the top you'll get the feeling that there is a storm approaching, I love thunderstorms as well. To help depict the gathering storm, I added some dry leaves, as if to give the hint of Autumn being the time of year the design is taking place, my favorite season.
