This tat has been in my head for years. Big Ray Scoby, owner of Texoma Skin Art in Denison, Texas, was able to get from there onto paper and, after 18 hours of work, inked onto my back. This artwork, a modified version of the caduceus (the symbol of the medical profession), represents who I am: A proud American physician (at least proud of the America envisioned by Jefferson and Washington) of Irish ancestry. The writing down the middle of the Celtic cross is made up of ancient runes and says "healer".
