Its is a simple, but highly symbolic tattoo. The God in the back is Anubis, the God of Death in ancient egypt, while the ankh is his wife's symbol, the cross of life wielded by Isis, the Goddess of life and fertility. Placed on my heart, i like to think that it gives me protection.
