I found out I had a bicuspid aortic valve 9MAR09. The doctor recommended it be replaced ASAP, but I was stuck in a paperwork bind and couldn't have the surgery done. I was scared. The doctors recommended that I not do any physical activity to preserve my heart. I became depressed and decided I needed a visual reminder that I was going to be fine. Something to show that I wasn't going to let a heart problem slow me down. I got the tattoo 19FEB11 and aortic valve replacement two months later. :)
