I'm 46 years old, and this is my first tattoo. Gabe Csobi, at Orange County Tattoo did this tattoo in three 3.5 hour sessions. My niece came up with the Great Wave off Kanagawa idea and sketched it on tracing paper. The front kanji represents "determination" the back kanji represents "persistence." Ne Cede means "never give up." The picture shows fisherman determined to get back home after a long day at work.
