On the 24th October 2008, my life changed dramatically. My very young daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (she was just 2y 8m old)

I decided I wanted to remember this day, so organised for a tattoo on my foot (to symbolise the testing we do on her little toes)

This tattoo is her name (Kaylin), the diabetes awareness ribbon (grey with red blood drop) and the date she was diagnosed (24th October 2008)

She knows this is her tattoo and proudly tells her friends about it

	very cool!! i can relate cause I too am a type 1 diabetic my next one in fact will have to do with my disease. how nice of you to get a tattoo for your daughter
