This sleeve represents some of my journey living in New Orleans and surviving Hurricane Katrina. The dragon is traditional Mardi Gras colors, purple, green, and gold, and instead of a traditional Koi, I decided to go with a catfish taken from a Japanese painting. The background is stormy representing the hurricane...there is no water on this sleeve, because I like the "fish out of water" idea and I have an entire sleeve representing the water of Hurricane Katrina on my other arm.
