The southern cross the Bogan Stamp I've had 2 southern cross tattoos on each wrist for 30yrs and they were never seen as a problem then. Being proud of your country is an individual thing how you show it is a personal thing. Wear them with pride Adam I do. |

If this tattoo means so much for you then why do you care what others think. It's for you and you alone if you really feel that way. The way you bicker over makes it sound like you feel like you need to defend it, you don't. If you like it, then good. |

here we go....vogue...more like vague. Something silly to you may not be for someone else. Rating is all well and good, being downright nasty and spiteful in comments demonstrates a sense of elitism, immaturity, and a lack of respect for others. |

its a tattoo rating site, hence the name 'RATE' my ink. a place to leave comments and ratings. which i did. getting your own name on your arm is a silly tattoo so i rated it, thats what the whole site is for. if you cant handle that why sign up? |

Hoodonperegrine, remember your own words (with which I agree)
"It's all about freedom of expression, which is something we are all entitled to!!!"
Let's leave it at that. |

learned to love that country, it's culture and people. I learned their language. The place isn't perfect, but neither are we. We should at least expect a healthy respect for Australia from the people who choose to call this their home. and for our women. |

well Hoodonperegrine, that was the first hint of sincerity I've noticed in your comments, which is nice. It is a shame people use a national symbol to represent an immoral ideal, and "Love Australia or leave it", in principle, I agree. I lived overseas and |

also, in the tattoing industry its now known AS the 'bogan stamp' by the tattoo artists. i'm sorry that you have one and have to be grouped with those people but she is right and it is becoming a problem in australia. |

the only reason she ever said anything to that idiot with the s'cross is because he is a prime example of the bogan ideology that is rampant now. idiots, the same people with the 'australia love it or leave it' plastered on their cars |

we probably have more in common on that front as using the flag as a symbol of hatred is wrong. So is saying all of us with this tat should DIE (her facebook group). The link didn't work, I'd be interested to read it. |

therein lies the problem: presumption. Your blonde friend has been spewing hatred towards people with a s/c tat across the net, assuming we have it all for anti-immigration / white supremcists ideals. She fails to realise that is not the case with all. |
