| THE STRAIGHT DOPE: There are no US army personnel in this classic pic, tho the photog may have been, I don't recall. The flag was raised by Marines and one Navy Corpsman ("medic") on Iwo Jima. Doc's son put together the book "Flags of Our Fathers" |
