My first tat looks bad too. The su and aging, I wouldn't do a thing caz it represents your life. Def don't cover it. Maybe color it in. But I'm sure it looks better in person.

So easy to cover up, i'd get the same again as it's a pretty cool piece to be honest!

I agree with everyone else :-) You shouldn't cover it totally as it's lovely and in a nice place on your body. But a little touch up and colour would make it look fantastic again! Did you make any decisions yet??

I know what you mean, i've got an old tatt that has started to spread...a good artist should be able to liven him up a bit. Agree with below, some colour, shading and tlc and he'll be good as new

wow still looks pretty damn good for an 18 year old tatt. whatever you do will be cool.

I like it!! Don't cover this up hon! Definitely add a little color or get it a little touched up! Love the rest of your tats, and thanks for your comment as well! :)

I bet this was a wicked tattoo when you first got it done
Looks really nice
I reckon if you had this baby touched up and colored in it would look as good as it did 18 years ago

try lasering it off, if im right in saying black is the 1st colour to come out so shouldnt be too bad! not 100% but think so anyway

And BTW, Lady, thanks for your nice comments on my tatts and for coming to the defense of my mythical bird tattoo. Some people on this site tend to be almost too hypercritical - always looking for flaws. I appreciate your response.

That's totally fixable. I had a 35 yo tattoo that had lost of it's color and with thickened black lines retouched - just re-outlined and the color put back in and it looked good as new. This will too.

Thanx Melissa, at least my back is fixable....yours is fucked!!
