people associate it with the navajo because they commonly use it in their art now days.i totally get were u r comin from and it makes me mad to when people get tattoos just because their cool and they dont really look at the history! |

i didnt get this just cause it was cool!!i really researched alot and wanted to get somethin that represented who i am.my mother was half cherokee and i know its not cherokee but its still representitive of who i am. |

I didnt mean to come off as defensive. Just do me (as an O'odham) a favor and be truthful about its symbolism and origin. Attatched to that symbol is the history and the heart of a tribe that is still surviving here in Southern Az. |

btw, When I was a freshman an anglo teacher had the same design on his calf. The students asked him about it and he said it was a Navajo symbol. I was painfuly shy back then and didnt correct him. I have regretted it ever since. |

i found it on a native american website.i was looking for somethin that symbolized lifes journey and this was perfect.i have a native american heritage so i thought it was fitting |

This is a Tohono Oodham Symbol. The man is I'itoi (a folk hero) and the Journey ends in the center (as in returning to the source). Where did you find this design? |

Hey Angie!!! This is one of my favorites of your tattoos. I don't know who did it but they did excellent linework on this one. Similar tattoo that I have seen look "shakey". Yours looks like it was drawn by a machine....very precise linework. Sweet ink.. |
