Depending on the design it can be covered easily especially with a laser treatment or two. It's getting cheaper and more available by the day. I'm in the process of covering an entire sleeve, without laser, and it's completely effective.

TO HAVE IT LAZER REMOVED WILL ALSO COST YOU ABOUT ABOUT 300 A SQUARE INCH AND THATS THE PRICE OF A GOOD REMOVAL THAT WONT LOOK LIKE CIGAR BURNS ON YOUR BODY

U CAN PHASE THE BLACK OUT OVER TIME WITH LEMON JUICE AND A MACHINE.. BUT ITS TIME CONSUMING. YOU COULD ALSO USE WHITE IN IN A FEW SITTINGS TO NEUTRALIZE THE BLACK THE BEST YOU CAN AND THEN PICK A PEICE THAT WILL COVER IT. THE ARTIST NEEDS EXP.

Cont..I think I would reshape the heart and fill it in with great color. Maybe turn it into a sacred hrt with flames. I would also add a big/bright background color. The banner could have words and/or better shading. It's not a lost cause. :)

It will be hard to cover it in any thing but black, which will probably look worse. Either get a real pro to work with it or have a few lazer treatmemts and then it will be easier to cover, less painful and less $.

What do you hate so much about it?

I wouldn't remove it or cover it up. I'd work with it. It's kinda heavy with those New Skool lines. I'd go to an artist who can work with what you have and make it into something better. :)
