I dunno, I would go to another artist. There are always ways to cover it up. The new artist shouldnt have made it so dark. That's what it seems like he did. I would just find a whole new idea, and cover it completely. A good artist can do it. |

Hey, bad tats happen. I'd laser it. The new lasers are very effective. Don't need total removal, just a few of sessions to lighten that up so you can tat over it. Talk to a tat artist before hand - they can advise you what to concentrate on. |

you could actually go for "All American Girl" under the star... :) |

If mine, I would get some red, white, and blue in the 2 banner type of things with the stars. Next remove them swirl tips off the star then add some yellow behind the star. with "USA" under star. |

wow... that's sad! some «tattoo artists» are sooo bad, it's unbelievable!
the idea of putting the ribbon red isn't so bad as for the star, you could reshape it a little... |

Also, you may want to consider removing it. It may be exspensive, but I think it would be worth it. Pleas dont take these comments the wrong way, I truly feel bad for you, that you got screwed over! |

I don't think there is much hope for it, it wasnt done very well, you should have left it, even though it didn't look good before at least it wasnt just a big blob. Sorry. The design concept was probably really good, just poorly executed. |

the ribbons would look good in red i think, it might make it a little bold but i think red would suit the design. : ) or maybe dark pink even. |
