| This tattoo is painful to look at. This piece tells me that you walked into the first shop you saw and did not do research on the artist. Everything is very poorly done the background the waves and the koi. Below average art and thats being nice. |

| ok folks study this tatt if you are gonna get a Koi. The contrasting water colors, the shading on the Koi giving it lots of depth. This is a real tattoo not the crappy stoner rainbow fishes ive been seeing through out this site. |

| Sorry i Didnt read that you are already going to a different artist. GOOD IDEA! Make sure you review the new artist's portfolio before you pay for more crappy work. |

| URGH! the colors are weak. The scales are more like snake scales and the wave colors are way off. Get him to use better ink or even better go to a different artist. |

| definetly a promising start. Needs alot more color. Koi is nice but lacks detail (scales, facial definition) and the water needs some color shading. Not a great spot for such a small piece. You will need to add to it perhaps flowers or more koi. |

| Here is a good example of bad linework.This Tattooist was too cheap to use different size liners and it shows in the scales, fins and water. Im not gonna even start on the wack ass shading. there was no effort. looks more like an eel than a fish. |

| excellent fish colors.the bold outline takes away from the realism and the waves need to have a lighter shading but otherwise its probably one of the nicer ones here. cant wait to see the finished product. |

| Everyone else who has a koi fish should compare it to this. This is the standard for a koi fish if it looks nothing like this then your koi fish is garbage. |

| Urgh dude whats with head it looke like its whistling a song need to get that fixed. The tail is not the right proportion. line work looks ok but the art leaves much to be desired. |
