It looks like an x with uneaven flower petals on it. should have made the flag go more with teh flow of the butterfly.

It really does not look like a butterfly to me. The middle part stands out too much and the wing parts don't seperate nicely.

A homedone tattoo is never a good idea. Go get some blood work done. Probably was done with unsterile equipment.
