I'm a junior-year English teacher. A student designed the concept for this piece after seeing a documentary that called the book the "bible of teenage angst." She turned the gold ring into a halo and put Holden in a stained glass window.

Jorrell at Outer Limits in Long Beach, CA took her concept and designed this piece, aiming to keep hints of the stained glass effect.

It's on my left arm/shoulder.
